The plants are all in Fred now waiting for fruit production in March. Winter production in Freda of large and cherry-on-the vine and other trial varieties looking good. Photos to follow!

In June (2015), the chef Brian Turner came over to do some filming for his series ‘My Life on a Plate’. Roly can be seen talking to Brian Turner at Sandylands Nurseries in the programme looking at Alistair McGowan’s life in the Vale of Evesham. The part of the series R & L Holt feature in was shown on BBC 1 Tuesday 10th November.
This year Side shoots FC reached the last 16 out of 32 teams. Last year they were runners up. Roly and Plamen then played for Growers United against Soap stars the same day but lost 3-0. It’s the taking part that counts. Nonetheless, a good effort. Again, money raised goes to Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Cancer Research.
This year Roly and Plamen took part in a football match playing for Growers United against Liverpool legend at Evesham United football ground Saturday 11th July. Despite a valliant effort, Growers United lost 2-1.
R & L Holt attended the Grower of the Year Awards in London, in February and we were Highly Commended for both Best Business Innovation and Salad Grower of the Year categories. We enjoyed a lovely dinner followed by Jazz music!

R & L Holt after being shortlisted in the top ten of the best tomato grower in the world in the field of Crop & Process technology came second. The winner was Duijvestijn Tomaten from the Netherlands with their work on geothermal energy.
